About this deal

AWM, Advanced Wave Memory Stereo sampling is a sampling system, creating superb wave data that mirrors the sound and expression of the original instrument by using advanced digital technologies. We have been in business for over 30 years and will always do our best to be as competitive as possible. In conclusion, the NP-32 and NP-12 are solid beginner keyboards that impress despite their limited feature set. The Record button offers you easy one-touch recording of your practice sessions, performances, or original compositions so you can listen back yourself or share with friends and family.

It’s smooth plastic, but the actual turning of it barely gives any resistance, which means it’s difficult to make precise volume changes. Its modern design features aspects that are reminiscent of an acoustic piano and focuses on only the most practical functions, making it eminently usable and allowing people who are not used to digital instruments the ability to operate it intuitively. So if you're a complete beginner or looking for a functional keyboard that easily transportable, then we believe this key action will be more than serviceable. Yamaha have designed these compact Piaggero keyboards to offer the same sampled sound of their acoustic grand pianos. First of all, many of today’s digital pianos use stereo samples, which sometimes require two or even more notes for each key played.Online demos show off the superb velocity sensitivity of the NP-32, but I personally needed to pay extra attention to nail down my dynamics. Created using a sample from an authentic Yamaha grand piano, the sound replication is fantastic, and certainly the most impressive available.

This can really take your practice session to the next level, by allowing you to analyse your playing and pinpoint problem areas in your technique. The lack of basses (and a split mode) means you don’t get to practice playing different sounds on the left and right hand. My second favorite choice would be Guitar Center, another giant in the music industry that you can trust. For those of you who don’t know, think of it as a vintage, warm electric piano sound heard in 60s and 70s music.Yamaha’s acoustic technology furnishes the Piaggero’s powerful sound - a sound that belies its compact size, featuring resonant grand piano-style bass notes and beautifully detailed treble tones. Walk-in, carrying the NP12 with one hand, and play - it's that easy anywhere thanks to the new slim, light and compact design.

If you are looking for a digital piano to practice wherever you want the Yamaha NP12 is a very good choice. Yamaha’s acoustic technology furnishes the Piaggero’s powerful sound—a sound that belies its compact size, featuring resonant grand piano-style bass notes and beautifully detailed treble tones. The PSR-E353 has a few hundred voice and sound options, ranging from ones similar to that of the NP-12’s, all the way to drums, synthesizers, and sound effects. You can also use headphones with the NP-15 if you are worried about disturbing those around you with your playing. That’s why I discourage purchasing the FC3A, as it might not work with other keyboards or digital pianos from other manufacturers. Most keyboards include this option, letting you connect your phones or music players to the keyboard for playback via the speakers. The 61 full-size, waterfall-fronted keys - although not weighted - are touch-sensitive and are perfect for novice piano players, and the handy record button allows you to capture your practice session so you can track your progress. Maybe you want to learn how to play the piano, but the keys feel so heavy you think your fingers will tire out; or maybe you think your fingers aren’t strong enough to achieve sufficiently strong fortes. The NP32 is a clear winner as it is a keyboard with more keys and better sensitivity technology, it also has the benefit of sound power, however, if your focus is on portability or time of use with batteries the NP12 might be the best choice for you. Using the sustain pedal warms this sound up quite a bit, as the clinks of the bell tone are very short, and the lower tone is longer and catches with the sustain.

The ten onboard sounds are more than enough for most players and are of the high quality you'd expect from Yamaha. It’s perfect for beginners that need some help keeping pace with the rhythm, also helping to better understand when you need to slow down or speed up. The same principles apply to the NP-32, but you can also hear a few different samples being included. They don't lack in features either, thanks to iPad compatibility you can get a number of apps for practice. ePianos Product Handbook FREE digital access to our exclusive 'ePianos Product Handbook', containing a 40+ page guide and over an hour of video content to help you get the very best from your new piano. The lack of other effects such as chorus does sting a little, but it’s a minor loss in the grand scheme of things. The lack of excess buttons and screens gives this keyboard a modern look that makes it stand out in the crowded home keyboard market. The USB B connection allows you to connect your Piaggero instrument to your computer for MIDI communication for music production or link to your iOS device. I have a massive passion for anything that makes a sound, in particular guitars, pianos and recording equipment. And no one should purchase the Yamaha NP-12 expecting it to perform like a Yamaha Clavinova instrument.
